Back to work
At long last, am back at work. Have been longing for this moment for a while.... LOL actually a month. I was getting annoyed of asking my parents to help me financially for my basic necessities. I have been going through a rough patch, but now am back on my feet.

Exam stress...
OOOOOOOOOOOh cheese and tomato, there we go again! # sad face#
Exam time, aaaaaah, I could just die now and wake up in 2014. I really do not have any problems with school and attending all my classes, but when it comes to exams, I get a phobia.
Well, I think I have a valid reason why I really hate exams…I cannot study! I know, a third year student may sound insane for saying such, but it’s true. I have been in school for more than a decade now, and I have tried all study methods I know, yet I still do not know what to do when I have to prepare for exams. How do you start, and how does one get all the information in their head and not forget anything.
I have tired asking my friends to help, but all I get is a sigh, I have also asked one of the top students in class and all they tell me is what I already know.
That is just crazy really; I cannot get my head around it. Another thing that seems to possess me is exhaustion. God knows I try, but I always get super tired when I have to study or prepare for any examination. Yep, I know, its sounds like am just a lazy girl who does not want to study, but that is so not true, I really want to get as many distinctions as I can, and I know that in order for that dream to become a reality, I have to ,man up and dance to the beat.
When it comes to finding a study method, I have decided to, do what I have always been doing, but this time; I do it three times more. I guess by doing that, I can get all the distinctions that I only dream of getting, but the most essential factor that needs to be done before anything is to pray and ask God to clear my mind and put my understanding on full focus. Another thing that I think can help me is to get as much sleep as I can, because really… I stress too much, and then I do not get the time to rest my mind, body and soul.
Well, now I will practise what I preach and really do all that I say I will do. And with that attitude on full force, exams here I come!
It’s me time…
Life cannot be controlled, and the future is not determined by the past. One small thing can change someone’s life for the better or worst. Life comes with both negative and positive trials, hence one has to find ways to “escape” or confide in someone.
It is easier being a shoulder to cry on; yet crying on someone’s shoulder has become a fear that I really have to conquer.
I have always put other people’s feelings and needs before mine, but now it’s time for change.
From an early age it has always been easier for me to focus on finding solutions to help people around me. Although it has always been perceived as a positive thing to other people, I have discovered that, I was merely using that as a way for me to escape from my own life and reality revealed to me that I am a coward at times.
Listening to other people blubbing about the problems in their lives became an escape route for me.
At this stage of my life am going through many challenges, and trials, getting a friend that I can share all my worries with, or a shoulder that can help me carry my heavy burdens would really be like heaven to me.
I don’t know if it is possible for someone’s spirit to get exhausted, but mine is, really am drained and my mind is dehydrated from all the times that I had to give advice, from all the times that I had to sacrifice my time to help another.
I mean two weeks back, a friend of mine asked me to help her with her school assignment, not bearing in mind that I have the same amount of work load as she does. Well, because I have made it a habit to put other people’s needs before mine, I had to “put my work on hold” in order to satisfy my friend’s need.
Am happy to say that, she helped me, because at that point I realised that It’s me time!, It’s time for me to be the victim in my life and let the hands of friends and family catch me when I fall.

God is good all the time...
No matter how many times I disobey him he has a way of bringing me back to my knees and asking forgiveness.
No matter the wrong that I do in his presence, he always finds a way to forgive me and give me the love that no other person in this world can ever give me…
Let me tell you about my God!
He is the alpha and the Omega, He created me to make a difference on the earth, to glorify him, and to praise his name, and that purpose I shall accomplish. His love endures forever and he has never let me down.
He is my daddy, my best friend, and my all, I really do love him, because the gift that he gave me on my birth date, no one can bit that… Yep, he gave me the gift of life, and the right to life it abundantly to the fullest. I shall always be grateful towards his love and kindness.
All living souls know my daddy, some do not want to be his again because he is a very jealous father; in order to be considered as fully his child, one has to give it all up and let him take the lead in one’s life.
Most people do not like being controlled or being told what to do or what not to do, my father is a gentleman, and he would never force himself on anyone. He comes gently and asks for a relationship with a person, then he leaves it to that person to decide whether they want him as a father or not.
One of the things I love about my father is that when he first came to me, I was dirty and blind to his mercies and grace, but he took me the way I was, he washed me with his amaizing glory and made me a new person.

I really enjoyed class today
LOl…..
The topic in class to day was Personal branding. Many people have different views about themselves as to other people around them. In most cases one may give him/herself a certain character that does not in any way complement how other people think of them.
We were given an activity whereby one has to give a description to everyone in class, using only three words. HAHAHAHAHA
A task that was meant to be positive turned into an offensive three hour section. People where merely being honest and we all know; “the truth hurts”. Some were told how lazy and “getto” they are, and others how shy and ambitious they are.
Well me me me me. I was described in many words, but most people shared these views about me:
Shy
Ambitious
Hard-worker
Kind
Gets her work done
Quiet
Ambitious
Hard-worker
Kind
Gets her work done
Quiet
LOL… I agree with some of them and yet disagree with other views.
The whole point of this was to see the impact that we have had on our peers. And that one should emphasis on one’s positive strengths when one gets to the working environment.

Gattaca, review
Gattaca (1997) is a science fiction and a drama film.
It is a film about genetic engineering and how it determines people’s lives. There is a lot of discrimination in the film, due to people’s genetics and differences. People can choose to engineer their children to meet their specific needs. The main actor (Ethan Hawke) Vincent Freeman is classified as an “invalid” (person who has genetic problems, such as heart problems, always sick, or sometimes have breathing problems), due to the fact that Vincent has defects, hence though the movie he finds ways to achieve his dream of flying as part of Gattaca
The film emphasises what it is like to be an individual, being treated as an outcast in the society. It also shows that the world is fast changing into a science based environment.
It is shown a number of times how easy it is to determine a person’s identity from small things such as hair, saliva, and fingerprints, and the film shows a future where people can be criticised due to their genetics.
Gattaca is one of those movies whereby one needs to concentrate in order to understand the plot. The director, Andrew Niccol, does a really good job in conveying all the characters. He does not stick to the typical science fiction effects, but he adds a bit of drama and fantasy. It has love scenes, and parts whereby the actors become sensitive to life and the opinions of other people.
Vincent is played by Ethan in a leading performance by a great character actor. Jerome I splayed by Jude Law, in a role that shows smartness and care, although he first appeared to be arrogant. The two characters seem not to like each other at first, but they develop a relationship, because they depend on each other.
All the characters portray a very powerful performance in the film, because they are not predictable, and they develop as film proceeds. Hence, most of them are quite serious and they do not leave any space for humour. The main character shows some emotions, such as love, laughter, as well as ambition. The characters in the film tend to struggle both with themselves as well in society. For example, the main actor struggles to be accepted in society as himself, he had to change his identity, and he also struggles to accept himself for who he is, because of his dreams to work for Gattaca.
The atmosphere of the movie is given a boost by the score. The structure of the film is just a traditional storyline with a sensitive beginning; the middle has a big conflict and a not so “happy ever after” ending.
Gattaca has many memorable scenes, and this is made a possible by the manner in which the characters perform.
I would rate the film 8/10, because I was impressed by the characters.

This is so not me…..
I am having a bad day today, I really don’t like the way I feel. I had so much planned for this day and yet nothing goes to plan. I didn’t do well on my assignment, “not because it’s not great, but because of technical problems, such as the fact that, I didn’t save my work properly”, the lecturer says. Agrrrrr # so annoyed#
But knowing me, this anger will only last for few minutes then I will be fine. All I have to do now is make sure that I save my work on the next assignment.
Still #annoyed#

Reality.......#sadface#
It pains my heart deeply to see people as old as my grandparents working on the streets as vendors. I never realised until recently, how many people sell by the side of the road and for the purposes of feeding their families.
A woman old enough to be my mother was sitting by the road selling merely cigarettes, chips and biscuits all in the name of helping her husband to feed her kids as well as take them to school. This world is really not fair. I mean…. The sad part was that after I interviewed her (helping my friend with her assignment), she was meant to write her name and sign on a consent form, but she couldn’t. My eyes put up a fight with my tears when she told me she couldn’t write and signed “X” by the signature line.
I guess I have to stop complaining about the things I don’t have, but praise God for all I have.

23rd OF JULY, THE DAY I WILL NEVER FORGET....
YEbo it’s my birthday
YEh yeh, everybody has it and it might not be a big thing to them but to me…… hahahaha it is like am the president for that day. My birtyhday was beautiful, I enjoyed every moment of it. All my family members came to celebrate with me. The ones I know as well as the ones I don’t know #shy#. I love my family and I adore my parents. If it wasn’t for them I would have not had a good time. I can’t wait until next year July 23rd.
The best things in life are free....
The best things in life are for free.
There are many times when I wish I could have it all, and then I would recall that I don’t have enough money for my wishes to come true. Hence It has been said a number of times that the best things in life are for free. Honestly? Do you really believe that if one had happiness, love, family, and the goodness of nature, all things would be OKAY? Money is not everything to me, but it is ‘most things’. Well…..maybe 50/50.
Although, you can find many rich people that are not happy and would do all they can to have peace of mind and feel that unconditional love. These people may have all that money can buy, I mean they could possess the most luxurious cars and have the best house in the country, but truly have nothing.
Well, sometimes I reminisce on the exquisite life I have… and guess what? Yep, I don’t have to pay for it.
I had a friend in high school, who had it all, talking about the latest phones, the most stylish school bag and stationary, and she would change her hair style every now and then. When comparing myself to her, I would quality to be her cleaner. Hence I was a happy soul, coming from a family of love and care. I always had a smile on my face, I mean no one could bring me down. I would make the best out of a rainy day and let my face join the sun in lighting up the world. Even though I didn’t have as much material things as she did but I HAD IT ALL (for free). And one random day she told me how lucky I am to be the person that I was. She made it clear that she desired the life that I was living, and at that moment I was honoured, I felt like a role model.
From that day on till now. I truly believe that the nature is all that God gave us to work with, and I’ll do so with great delight. I decided to take Miranda A.’s advice on nature:
Natural Life
Take a moment to notice
the beauty of the trees.
Sit and take a look
at the dancing leaves.
Note the little child
Laughing, playing with a toy.
Always so full of energy;
Humongous amounts of joy.
Don't crush the insects,
which are 1/1000ths of your weight.
They may creep up your path,
But don't decide their fate.
Life's not about avoiding storms.
Instead, dance in the rain.
The Earth is so beautiful;
why must we cause its pain?
Take time off your busy schedule
to glance at the starry night.
Because nature is genius.
So pretty, such a sight!
the beauty of the trees.
Sit and take a look
at the dancing leaves.
Note the little child
Laughing, playing with a toy.
Always so full of energy;
Humongous amounts of joy.
Don't crush the insects,
which are 1/1000ths of your weight.
They may creep up your path,
But don't decide their fate.
Life's not about avoiding storms.
Instead, dance in the rain.
The Earth is so beautiful;
why must we cause its pain?
Take time off your busy schedule
to glance at the starry night.
Because nature is genius.
So pretty, such a sight!

Can't wait to finish school...

Yes I know that without education life is no walk in the park, and that life wont be as pleasant as I want it to be, but am tired shame.... I love school no doubt, but a girl really needs a break.
I have many things to complete, many modules to deal with, and many assginments to start with. At times in order to get what you really want one has to start small and suffer to get that perfect outcome.
I love getting to learn different things everyday, I ,mean now I can create my own website, and, well... If I could measure the things I have learned from the beginning of the year till now, I would probably have 10 tons of knowledge on my shoulder. Many students see school as a drag and we tend to forget about the things that we gain from being at in place that takes our money and takes all our time. I sometimes feel so special when my family members brag about how I am a future journalist and how they forsee a great future.
Teachers or lectures should be honoured all the time they are the people that care about students, we should be thankfull for all the guidance and knowledge they forcefuly ingrave on us. because all that force get us the success we achieve.

Men vs Women...
They say without men there would be no women because God created Eve after he saw that Adam was lonely and needed a companion…
The world is only ruled by two species: a man and a woman, one can never survive without the other. Well, it’s true, men may seem superior to woman but when considering genuineness, all that men do, women can do. There is no gender that is stronger than the other.
Women can think, act, or work as men do but it all starts from their “brains”. Someone once said “in love, you better act like a woman, but think like a man”.
Tainan Murphy once wrote that, “Women and Men are more similar than people believe them to be. People focus on the evident physical differences we see on a daily basis in men and women. Women are commonly described to have breasts, a vagina, and are considered more “voluptuous” or curvy than men, whereas men are known for their manly tools, their penis, and all the preconceived social and cultural notions that go along with that. However, aside from these minor physical differences men and women are innately the same”.
It’s a fact we are all the same, hahahahaha
But the Christian Bible clearly states that as women we should submitted under authority (men as husbands). I totally agree with that a woman should always respect their husbands and adhere to them.
BUT ON THE OTHER HAND….
Women are the sweet rose Sharon, the light of the earth, the diamond that cannot be priced. And should be treated with care, love and given all the respect that there is. Women are the mothers of all and should be admired as well as appreciated at all times.
"He is half of a blessed man. Left to be finished by such as she; and she a fair divided excellence, whose fullness of perfection lies in him. " William Shakespeare

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME....
As I went throw life, I had always had one wish…. To be 21 already!!!!!!!!!!!!
Through life’s journey each person has a certain age that they would like to “keep” forever some people say, “Pick an age and stick with it”
Well as an African girl, turning 21 with no child and still leaving and obeying your parents is a huge thing. When considering most girls throughout the world, 21 is an age in which one has about 2 children and some are married. But me!… am still a mommy’s girl. I love being young and being told what do to and what not to do. My parents are my pillars in life; they are there to advise me and teach me the ways of life.
Parents are not as bad as I thought they are, my parents are the best, we might have some arguments as well as disagreements, hence they only want what’s best for me, all the time.
I am turning 21 this year; adulthood is knocking at my door, and am a bit nervous to answer. But with all the knowledge that I had been taught I am sure I am going to be okay, I mean… I will have a future that will strike all curses and negative forces out of my life forever.
My siblings always ask me what it is that I do, that keeps me going and this is what I always say “have faith and confidence in all that you do and confess that:
I am the head, and not the tail,
I am above and never beneath,
I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me,
I am more than a conqueror,
NO weapon formed against me shall prosper in Jesus name
I am above and never beneath,
I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me,
I am more than a conqueror,
NO weapon formed against me shall prosper in Jesus name
AMEN!!!!!

Rich or comfort...?
I
have always had a vision of myself owning a mansion at Sandton or Rosebank
driving a red Posh 911. Shopping whenever I want to, I mean… having it all.
This has been by dream ever since I was in high school, I told myself that I do
not want to suffer or work for anyone, I want to be the boss, I want to
command, I want to be possess the highest authority.
Well…
I was given a challenge: A friend of mine asked me one question and it changed
the way I have seem things throughout my life.
She
said: Would you rather be rich or happy ( comfortable).
I
went home and had an argument with my inner self.
“Having
an abundance of material possessions; possessed of a large amount of property;
well supplied with land, goods, or money; wealthy; opulent; affluent; --
opposed to poor.”
Well
with a lot of motivation from pastors and people I have heard before talking
about this Issue this was my conclusion:
It
is not a sin to be rich, but money does not make the world go around. You can
have all the money in the world, all that you desire to buy, but without love
and happiness life is not complete.
Having
big cars, houses and business is a great dream, but why run after the water and
not the tap.
I
would rather get a tap than to go around seeking for water.
In
my opinion the tap would be God (Jesus). The word of God says, look onto the
Lord and seek him first, then all his riches and glory will flow down to you,
well… am guessing all Christians know that this world is not our own, and that
the Lord God is the boss in heaven and earth. So why not run to the father then,
as his children he can cater for all our needs?
Now,
I would be glad and quick to choose happiness and love than to be rich. There are
many people who have money but do not have the unspeakable joy or do not feel the
unconditional love the father has for us.
So
guys let us get comfortable in the hands of our father in heaven, and I promise
you, as long as you follow his ways and his commands, all his riches and glory
will be bestowed unto you.
“No
one who is an employee can be rich, unless you are a thief”…….. Prophet Phillip

Money money money money….!!!!!
It has always been very hard to save and buy all that I want .
The
rand has gone down big time. I am sure most people my age do not even consider worrying
when the rand decreases, hence it affects them greatly. Economical changes affects every living humans, and most young people seem to ignore that fact.
The
minute the rand goes down public transport fee increases and guess what…..
bread cost increases.
There
are many ways in which one can deal with money and save to have or buy that one
big thing you have been longing for.
I could not save money for anything until I
read this by: Tommyboy614, Elk Grove Village,IL
1. 1.
Carry big bills: When
carrying big bills you are less likely to break that bill. It’s a psychological
thing. Why would you want to break a hundred for a Big Mac?
2. 2.
Brown bag your lunch:
Instead of getting that Burrito Bowl from Chipotle, bring your lunch from home
and place whatever you would have spent into your savings.
3. 3.
Set a goal: Whether it is
saving for college, a car, or simply a new phone, setting a goal may be the
driving force to help you save money.
By following
these three things I was able to save and buy myself the phone that I had
always wanted, as well as save enough money to do my drivers license.
