Rich or comfort...?

I have always had a vision of myself owning a mansion at Sandton or Rosebank driving a red Posh 911. Shopping whenever I want to, I mean… having it all. This has been by dream ever since I was in high school, I told myself that I do not want to suffer or work for anyone, I want to be the boss, I want to command, I want to be possess the highest authority.
Well… I was given a challenge: A friend of mine asked me one question and it changed the way I have seem things throughout my life.
She said: Would you rather be rich or happy ( comfortable).
I went home and had an argument with my inner self.

“Having an abundance of material possessions; possessed of a large amount of property; well supplied with land, goods, or money; wealthy; opulent; affluent; -- opposed to poor.”

Well with a lot of motivation from pastors and people I have heard before talking about this Issue this was my conclusion:
It is not a sin to be rich, but money does not make the world go around. You can have all the money in the world, all that you desire to buy, but without love and happiness life is not complete.
Having big cars, houses and business is a great dream, but why run after the water and not the tap.
I would rather get a tap than to go around seeking for water.

In my opinion the tap would be God (Jesus). The word of God says, look onto the Lord and seek him first, then all his riches and glory will flow down to you, well… am guessing all Christians know that this world is not our own, and that the Lord God is the boss in heaven and earth. So why not run to the father then, as his children he can cater for all our needs?
Now, I would be glad and quick to choose happiness and love than to be rich. There are many people who have money but do not have the unspeakable joy or do not feel the unconditional love the father has for us.

So guys let us get comfortable in the hands of our father in heaven, and I promise you, as long as you follow his ways and his commands, all his riches and glory will be bestowed unto you.

Money money money money….!!!!!

It has always been very hard to save and buy all that I want .
The rand has gone down big time. I am sure most people my age do not even consider worrying when the rand decreases, hence it affects them greatly. Economical changes affects every living humans, and most young people seem to ignore that fact.
The minute the rand goes down public transport fee increases and guess what….. bread cost increases.
There are many ways in which one can deal with money and save to have or buy that one big thing you have been longing for.
I could not save money for anything until I read this by: Tommyboy614, Elk Grove Village,IL

1.  1.      Carry big bills: When carrying big bills you are less likely to break that bill. It’s a psychological thing. Why would you want to break a hundred for a Big Mac?
2.      2.  Brown bag your lunch: Instead of getting that Burrito Bowl from Chipotle, bring your lunch from home and place whatever you would have spent into your savings.
3.     3.   Set a goal: Whether it is saving for college, a car, or simply a new phone, setting a goal may be the driving force to help you save money.

By following these three things I was able to save and buy myself the phone that I had always wanted, as well as save enough money to do my drivers license.

THE RIGHT AGE TO LEAVE HOME…?

At the age that I am in now, I experience many challenges, and at times I think if I was on my own (staying in my own apartment) maybe half of these problems would not be there. But some people think am too young to be thinking in such a manner and should not leave home as yet; they suggested I wait for about 2 to 3 years. And….  I don’t think so!
What is the right age to leave your parent’s house and stay on your own? Should one wait until they get married or should one get a stable job first and then they can consider moving out?

According to Brooke Dean there are 9 signs that show that it’s time to leave home:
1.    You’re there for THEM; some people stay at home longer than they want to because their parents expect them to stay there – either to keep them company or until they get married.
2.    You Come Home Late – Often
3.    You’re the Babysitter
4.    The House is Crowded
5.    No Room For Your Stuff; Not only is it difficult to find space for you and your friends to hang out, you may not also have room for your personal things, especially if you’re sharing a room with someone
6.    No Privacy; If you suffer from any of the issues already mentioned, it is safe to say you probably have no room for privacy either
7.    Rules; Depending on how old-school your folks are, living at home means following their
8.    You’re a Slob; Speaking of chores, if you’re a slob, then living at home with you is probably a nightmare. While I’d hope that one would be clean and neat even while living on his own, you don’t HAVE to wash dishes in your own place if you don’t want to. When you live alone, you don’t have to do laundry for a month if you don’t feel like it, and you can leave your clothes all over the place and no one can say boo about it. Again, I’m not saying being a slob is cute, but if you’re tired of your mom nagging you to pick up your socks or to move your shoes out of her way, then get your own place and be lazy and sloppy to your heart’s content. Just make sure to clean up before company comes
9.    You’re 30+ Years Old; Enough said. At some point, you just have to become an adult and know what it’s like to be responsible for yourself

After I read all that Brooke Dean had to say about leaving home, I have officially decided it’s time for me to move out! (well, maybe next year).

It's time to get professional

Work work  work  work…….

I am doing my internships now at ballyhoo media, and Thank God each morning I wake up for such a privilege.
Ballyhoo media is a publishing company with people that are as sweet as sugar. Lol.

As with any experience, I found myself faced with challenges in my internship that I hadn’t anticipated.

When going into any new situation, we usually assume that everything will run smoothly and that the overall experience will offer what we hoped for; in this case, an opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. Unfortunately, you may find yourself faced with challenges that you don’t feel able to handle. The two important things to remember is to always maintain your professionalism and always work to find ways that are mutually beneficial to both you and the employer that will help solve the problems you are facing. Below I’ve listed some tips on how to face some of the challenges that you may find cropping up over the course of your internship.
With that I find myself having a good time in a period of 3 days.
Another aspect that one should consider is communication, when an intern communicates with his or her supervisors they are bound to do what is right and follow instructions correctly.
If giving a chance, this is a place where I will get my first job as a Journalist from.
